1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on the User's device (computer, smartphone or tablet) by the websites and applications accessed through the browser. Similar technologies include local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), pixels, web beacons and session identifiers.

This Cookie Policy complements the Effluex Privacy Policy and details how the institutional website (effluex.com.br) and the SaaS platform use cookies and similar technologies.

2. How Effluex Uses Cookies

Effluex uses cookies for strictly operational purposes, aimed at the proper functioning, security and continuous improvement of the User experience, observing the principles of minimization and purpose, in accordance with the LGPD.

We do not use cookies for advertising purposes, behavioral profiling for third parties, or cross-site tracking.

3. Types of Cookies Used

Cookies used by Effluex are classified into three main categories:

3.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

Essential for the basic operation of the platform. Without them, features such as authentication, session maintenance, load balancing and protection against attacks (e.g., CSRF) do not work properly. These cookies are installed regardless of consent, based on legitimate interest and on the need to perform the contract.

Authentication session:
keeps the User logged in during navigation.
Security token (CSRF):
prevents cross-site request forgery.
Load balancing:
directs the request to the appropriate server.

3.2. Performance and Analytics Cookies

Collect aggregated and, whenever possible, anonymized information about the use of the platform — most accessed pages, time spent, navigation flows and errors — for performance monitoring, stability assessment and identification of improvement opportunities.

Usage metrics:
accessed routes, load time and error rate.
Application telemetry:
diagnosis of failures and performance in production.

3.3. Preference Cookies

Store settings chosen by the User to personalize the experience, such as language, visual theme and panel parameters.

i18n_redirected:
stores the User's preferred language (pt-BR, en, es).
Interface preferences:
sorting, filters and table density.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Effluex may use trusted third-party services, properly contracted as sub-operators and listed in the Privacy Policy, that may set their own cookies for specific functionalities:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (AWS) — session management and fraud prevention;
  • Monitoring and observability services — collection of technical metrics for support and diagnostics;
  • Font services (Google Fonts) — typography delivery (IBM Plex Sans) without User identification.

We do not share cookies with advertising networks, data brokers or behavioral marketing platforms.

5. How to Manage Cookies

The User can accept, refuse or delete cookies at any time in their browser settings. The main options are available at the following addresses:

Google Chrome:
Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
Mozilla Firefox:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
Apple Safari:
Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Microsoft Edge:
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Important: disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent login, compromise access security and disable essential platform features.

6. Updates to This Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated periodically to reflect technological, regulatory or operational changes. The current version will always be available on the official Effluex website, with the date of the last update indicated.
